In the days of the GDR, new boats were made of mahogany up until the early 1980s - mostly on wonderful shapes from earlier decades and with the highest level of craftsmanship. One of these gems is the Wellenbinder Sport, type 1501, from the 1960s, made by the VEB Yachtwerft Berlin-Friedrichshain, which now complements our Gents Barn collection. We are very happy that we found this rare piece of GDR history and that we were also able to bid on what we thought was the perfect trailer carriage - but more on that in a few weeks.
